  • Vessels seeking moorings must submit a request through Our Website or on Dockwa. We do not keep waitlist for sold-out dates.

  • All moorings are distributed by assignment, there are no first-come, first-serve moorings. Arriving boaters should hail Edgartown Harbor on VHF Ch. 74 for their assignment or to inquire about availability if arriving without a reservation.

  • Moorings are $45 per Day (meaning $45 for any length of stay between 11:00 AM to 10:00 AM the following day)

  • Check-in time is 11:00 AM and Check-out time is 10:00 AM PLEASE BE ON YOUR VESSEL AT THIS TIME


regulations

  • Edgartown Harbor is a zero discharge harbor. All yachtsmen are required to use their holding tanks at all times.

  • Anchorage is only available in the outer harbor unless harbormaster has stated otherwise.


Moorings

The Edgartown Harbormaster Department is the sole mooring provider in Edgartown waters.

  • Transient Moorings

    • Transient moorings can be reserved for the 2023 season beginning Wednesday, 01-March-2023 at 0800 EST. We do not keep wait-lists for sold-out dates

    • The 2023 season will run from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of the Fishing Derby in October.

  • Permanent Moorings

    • All yachtsmen looking to obtain a permanent mooring must join our wait list.

    • To do so, submit this application form and return it via mail or in person with the appropriate payment.

      • Checks are made payable to: Town of Edgartown

    • You will be invoiced bi-annually (once every two years from the year you sign up) to maintain your placement.

      • Invoices are mailed out in February of the renewal year.

      • To avoid losing your placement, ensure you have included your mailing/billing address and call our office at the time of any address changes.

    • Expected waiting times vary by location.

    • Wait lists are posted in the Town Clerk's office on Main Street and in our office at North Wharf.

WATER

  • Free potable water available on the Water Barge

  • Located opposite the channel from Green Can #9

  • Look for a floating dock secured by two blue moorings balls on either side


DINGHIES

  • Floating docks west side of Edgartown Yacht Club and in front of the Atlantic restaurant

  • Denoted by red painted pilings

  • Have at least an 8 foot bow line so others can land on the float.

  • Use the launch and leave your dinghy on your mooring if you'll be gone for more than a day-- this will help ease overcrowded tie-up.

  • Yachtsman can tie up to our floating dock at North Wharf to drop off trash, buy ice, and use showers and restrooms.
